Have you ever had someone call you up and offer a great new phone? Often, that can be a trap.

Scammers are known to try and get people to sign up up to contracts by lying about the features and costs. Sometimes they try and sign up your friends and family too by asking you to share their details.

Remember: You can always hang up on them, as the ACCC points out in this video.
